Men with horses and chariots are powerful. Their names precede them.

The Bible says in Genesis 41:44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh….”Joseph did not need the introductions, because Joseph had already seen the horse and the chariot too.

The introduction just meant more, much more. This man was in charge. It did not take much to know that he was Pharaoh, king of Egypt.

Pharaoh made slaves!

Then comes Solomon. The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 1:14-17 ¹⁴ Solomon accumulated chariots and horses; he had fourteen hundred chariots and twelve thousand horses…… ¹⁵ The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills. ¹⁶ Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt….the royal merchants purchased them… at the current price……

Egyptian horses were good. But they came with a price!

Next the Eunuch. The Bible says in Acts 8:²⁶ And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem….. and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, ²⁸ Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

All men, eunuchs or not, should stand still for the things of God.

THE LORD GOD IS ABOVE ALL
